The third week of Friday Football Frenzy kicks off with an intense rivalry to the west between Plainfield High School and Mooresville High School.

The game is a critical one for both schools. Mooresville is trying to get its first win on the road and 2-0 Plainfield wants to stay unbeaten.

"It's huge. (Mooresville) is just seven miles down the road. I've been here 35 years, and some of the greatest games played have been between Plainfield and Mooresville," said Plainfield Athletic Director Dana Greene.

Mooresville head coach Chad Dockery agreed that the rivalry brings a special anticipation to the game.

"Our kids always get excited about it here with Plainfield being so close," he said. "There is that big rivalry here, so it will be nice to play a team closer to us than our previous two, but once again we step into Week Three with a tough opponent."

Plainfield players said they've been gearing up for the big game.

"It takes a lot of hard work. This week these practices have been 10 times, 100 times better than what they usually are," said Mooresville senior Zach Minardo. "We picked it up big time this week. We're ready to go for this big rivalry game."

The pregame show begins on HTSN at 6:30 p.m., and the game kicks off at 7 p.m.
