INDIANAPOLIS -
The defending 3-A State champions of Bishop Chatard High School will take on the Cardinal Ritter High School Raiders in week five of Friday Football Frenzy.
The Raiders said they’re aiming to keep their hopes and their goals high this season.
"This is always a fun game. We played it last year. That was the first time we played (Chartard) in a while since last year. It was real fun. It's always a good game; two catholic schools going at it. I'm really looking forward to it. It gets us ready for the playoffs. I think we'll be ready,” said offensive guard Keylahn Hodo.
Ritter Head Coach Ty Hunt said his team has improved since last season.
"We are continuing to fine tune everything. One of the goals in the off season was to improve the running game. We did some things to make sure we got that on board with us. I got to give my hat to my (offensive) line coach Spencer King and Steve Stineker. They are doing a great job in motivating those guys,” Hunt said.
The Chatard Trojans finished 13-2 last year. The team is undefeated this season.
Friday’s game is technically a Ritter home game, but it will be played at Marian University since large crowds are expected to attend.
Friday Football Frenzy’s pre-game coverage of the Ritter-Chatard game begins at 6:30 p.m. on HTSN. The game kicks-off at 7 p.m.
