Friday Football Frenzy: Rivals Warren Central, Carmel meet in sectionals

Rivals meet in first round of sectionals

INDIANAPOLIS -

The regular season is over and high schools all across the state are gearing up for Friday Football Frenzy.

Friday's game of the week features Warren Central at Carmel for the first round of sectionals.

High school football fans say the game is highly anticipated as one of the biggest rivals in the state take to the field.

"Half the teams in Indiana will be done after this weekend.  We don't want to be one of them, and I guarantee that Warren (Central) doesn't want to be one of them either.  It's going to be a big game and a hard fought battle," Carmel linebacker John Kenny said.

"Regardless of what your goals are during the regular season, we have one goal: we want to win the section.  We have everything in front of us now.  Have we had some heartbreaks? Absolutely.  We are going to turn those into success stories," said Warren Central head coach Steve Tutsie.

Pre-game coverage of the game starts at 6:30 p.m. on HTSN. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
