Watch first Indy 500 test of the year at IMS Friday

INDIANAPOLIS -- With less than 75 days until the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500, drivers and teams have already begun preparing. 

Friday is the first oval test of the year at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

There will be nearly a dozen drivers and a few IndyCar series teams on the track. Scott Dixon, Tony Kanaan, James Hinchcliffe and Josef Newgarden will testing their cars.

You can watch the test for free from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Drivers will take a lunch break from noon-1 p.m.

You can watch from the Turn 2 mounds, the IMS Museum lot or in the south terrace grandstands.

Parking is free at the museum.
