INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indianapolis Motor Speedway wants people to be extra aware of conditions at the track Sunday – especially since the race is sold out for the first time in years.

IMS President Doug Boles and the track's chief medical officer, Dr. Geoffrey Billows of IU Health, held a press conference Thursday to remind people to stay hydrated and to allow for extra time in getting to and leaving the track.

"Be early, plan where you're trying to go and have a lot of patience," Boles said.

Billows said the track will have six doctors on hand for drivers, plus an additional 12 doctors and 12 nurses in the spectator care center. Paramedics will also be located around the property.
