INDIANAPOLIS -- For the first time in 25 years, reserve tickets for the Indianapolis 500 are sold out.
The announcement was made Friday afternoon on the steps of the Statehouse.

General admission tickets are still availablein the infield.
IMS President J. Douglas Boles won't give an exact number of reserved seats sold, but says they are at a little under a quarter of a million.
Boles says, when you add in general admission, he expects there to be more than 350,000 people at IMS on race day.
"This is a historic moment that we're able to announce that we've sold every reserve seat in the venue.We're just excited to do that and let people know ahead of time, and now really our job is messaging how to get in, when to get in now that we expect 75 to 100,000 more people in the venue than last year," said Boles.

The grandstands, the new Hulman Terrace Club and every IMS suite will be completely filled.
Track officials say it's expected that the Indy 500 Snake Pit will reach capacity for the first time.
With a crowd traveling to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 29 that has not been seen in recent years, fans are being encouraged to begin their Race Day routines at least two hours earlier than previous years.
