BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Indiana University Hoosiers headed to Washington, D.C., Tuesday to prepare for their matchup against Syracuse in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Tournament.
The Hoosiers will take the court at 9:45 p.m. Thursday.
Coach Tom Crean told RTV6 the team is not yet ready for Thursday's game against Syracuse, but they will be.
"I think they're going to be as talented and athletic as any team we've seen. This is where playing in a great league should help," Crean said. "But it's a totally different deal. Being in the Big East and playing against Syracuse in the past, you're going to see 40 minutes of zone, you're going to see length and athleticism that you don't always see.
"You've got to be very disciplined, but at the same time you've to to take some risks and chances."
If IU wins, they'll advance to the Elite 8 round of the tournament, where they'll play the winner of the Marquette/Miami game.
