EGG HARBOR CITY, N.J. - Pink is back on a New Jersey football field.

Julian Connerton, 12, briefly quit his team when his coach told him he couldn't wear pink gloves.

Julian wanted to wear pink to support his mother's fight against breast cancer.

He wasn't the only one in pink when the Egg Harbor City Crusaders played over the weekend.

All the players and the cheerleaders were wearing pink socks.

The Press of Atlantic City reported the boy's coach has apologized for the misunderstanding. The coach said he simply forgot why the boy wanted to wear pink.
