WASHINGTON - The defending WNBA champion Indiana Fever visited the White House this week.
President Barack Obama welcomed the team to the White House on Friday to celebrate their 2012 title.
The Fever beat the then-defending champion Minnesota Lynx 87-78 last October to claim their first WNBA title.
The White House visit will include recognition of the Fever for their efforts to give back to communities.
Following the event, the Fever led a basketball clinic on the South Lawn with local schoolchildren.
