It's clear the Pacers will not sit still during the off-season.
On Tuesday, sources confirmed to RTV6 Sports that Indiana is acquiring Dallas center Ian Mahinmi in a sign-and-trade deal. In return, the Pacers send guards Darren Collison and Dahntay Jones to the Mavericks.
Mahinmi started a dozen games last season while playing in 61. He averaged six points and five rebounds during the 2011-12 season.
Mahinmi, originally from France, was drafted by the San Antonio Spurs in 2005.
He reportedly signed a four-year, $16 million deal with Dallas before the deal with the Pacers.
Collison just wrapped up his second season with the Pacers, averaging 10 points per game last season.
Jones completed his third season with the Pacers, averaging five points a game during the 2011-12 season.
