INDIANAPOLIS -- With hours to go before Thursday's 3 p.m. NBA trade deadline, the Indiana Pacers have been shopping star forward Paul George to multiple teams, ESPN reported.

Sources tell ESPN the Pacers have invited the Boston Celtics and the Los Angeles Lakers to make pitches for George.

George, 26, is having another great statistical season. He's averaging 22.3 points and 6.2 assists per game, but it hasn't led to as many wins for the team. The Pacers are 29-28, and have lost six straight.

"I've got a team to turn around in the second half, and that's what I'm committed to," he said Wednesday.

George's name has come up in trade talks this year partially due to the emergence of 20-year-old center Myles Turner.

If the Lakers end up negotiating for George, it would mean longtime rivals Larry Bird and Magic Johnson would be discussing the deal. Johnson was hired to be the team's president of basketball operations on Tuesday. Bird is the president of the Pacers.
