INDIANAPOLIS -- A spokeswoman for a game show that aired on RTV6 acknowledges that some winners -- nearly a month after the program ceased production -- have yet to receive their prizes.
Tamie Tatum, a representative for the Hoosier Bingo TV Game Show, said production stopped because of a failed business partnership.
Nevertheless, the show expects to complete a financial reorganization by the middle of January, and every winner validated by the show's public accounting firm will receive their prize, she said. Many winners already have received prizes, and people involved with the show hope to resume production after the reorganization, Tatum said."We sincerely regret that there has been a delay in awarding some ... of the prizes that RTV6 viewers have won," Tatum said in a faxed statement.Call 6 for Help had asked the show about the missing prizes after receiving complaints from viewers in Carthage, Greensburg, Indianapolis and Rushville.During the show, which aired on weekends from Sept. 6 to Nov. 15, numbers were drawn, and viewers were instructed to play along. To play, viewers needed to obtain the show's bingo cards from malls or bingo parlors.Winners were told to mail their cards to the show's headquarters. Prizes included gasoline cards gift certificates for an electronics store.Nancy Rickmore told Call 6's Rafael Sanchez that she had won twice. She is waiting for two $50 gift certificates."I haven't received (them), and I know a few other people (who have) won prizes, and they haven't received them, either," Rickmore said.
