Snow expected to fall across central Indiana on Sunday shouldn't complicate the Monday morning commute.

A second system moving down from the north this weekend will bring four to six hours of light snow beginning late Sunday afternoon, 6News' meteorologist Scott Akin said.

Between 1 and 2 inches of snow is expected in Indianapolis and north, while areas south of Indianapolis aren't expected to see more than an inch.

Akin said the snow will have stopped by the time the Monday morning commute begins.

The weekend snow could pave the way for a more significant system to move up from the south Wednesday into Thursday. The extent of the snow event won't be known until later in the week.
