Hello Canada! Canadian high pressure is responsible for our frosty weather.
The core of cold air is pouring into the midwest from our northern neighbor.
A high speed river of air aloft is transporting the cold air into Indiana.
Pilots flying around 30,000 feet during WWII confirmed what had already been suspected. That river of air is now called the jet stream!
