Today's topic: Humidity and your hair!
Does your hair ever get the frizzies? Or does your hair fall flat after you have curled it with a curling iron?
Blame your follicle flair-ups on the humidity. Your hair absorbs moisture from the air increasing in length.
Both human hair and horse hair have been used to calculate humidity levels in the atmosphere.
Although there are more sophisticated methods now, the hair hygrometer has its place in meteorological history.
