ALERT: Heavy rain on and off today

ALERT: Heavy rain will fall off and on throughout the day.  The biggest impact will be for the potential of localized flooding as some areas could see more than 1”-2” of rain.  An isolated severe storm or two can also not be completely ruled out.

Bottom line in this forecast is you need to have the umbrella handy and give yourself some extra time to get around.

Bands of heavy rainfall will move through the area today and potentially cause flooding across parts of the area.  There will be plenty of dry hours as well today but don’t bank on any sunshine as isolated storms will be possible at any point.

TIMELINE | When to expect rain in central Indiana

Either you will see heavy downpours or no rain at all. It is feast or famine as these storms come through.

Overnight a few showers and storms could linger but for the most part things will start to quiet down.

Friday will begin another great stretch of weather that will take us through the weekend.  After some morning clouds and maybe a sprinkle or two. Skies will become sunny with low humidity and highs right around 80 degrees. Morning lows for Saturday and Sunday will be in the upper 50s.  Might even need the jacket both mornings. The afternoon though will be great.

Even next week the weather looks to be pretty quiet.
