I promise this is updated. The story is just the same.
We are tip toeing into a very hot Memorial Day weekend. The warmest race temperatures on record are expected. Race day temps will peak at 93 degrees shortly after 3pm.
There is a slight chance for thunderstorms Friday. Our RPM forecast model does show isolated thunderstorms developing between 1pm and 7pm Friday. Aside from our low chance for rain Friday, we should be dry until a chance for thunderstorms returns on Memorial Day. As you know, we need rain. Both Monday and Tuesday of next week there is a 30 to 40 percent chance for thunderstorms.
Temperatures will retreat back into the lower 80s by Tuesday and Wednesday.
