INDIANAPOLIS -  

Severe storms swept through Indiana Friday night, causing cancellations and delays of many central Indiana high school football games and various other events.
 
The stands were evacuated at football games across the state, and many games were rescheduled for Saturday.

The Tipton Pork Festival was evacuated due to the approaching severe weather, and the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy performance at Conner Prairie was canceled.
 
RTV6 Meteorologist Kevin Gregory received reports of wind damage in Hendricks County.
 
The Indiana Department of Homeland Security warned Indiana residents about flash flooding.
 
Indianapolis Power and Light reported more than 8,500 outages and Duke Energy reported more than 3,000 customers without power just after 10 p.m. Friday.
