Fall may not be in the air, but it is in the trees!
Pops of changing color are starting to show up in trees all across Central Indiana.
When you think about the best places to go leaf peeping, Brown County is likely near the top of your list.
While seeing the changing leaves in person can’t be beat, there is an option for those unable to make the trip.
The Brown County Convention and Visitors Bureau has its Leaf Cam up and running once again.
Aubrey Sitzman, with the Visitors Bureau, says, “This year the Leaf Cam has been placed high atop a cabin near the Bean Blossom overlook, offering a sprawling panorama of Brown County’s beloved forest.”
The Leaf Cam refreshes every 15 minutes, and gives users the option to view time lapse video of the changing color.
So, when will the fall color be at its peak?
Typically, leaves in Indiana reach their full color around the middle of October. Each year is different though.
Sitzman says, “Weather plays a major role in the changes each year, so as the weather is never the same, the time of year the leaves change always varies.”
