INDIANAPOLIS - Light snow continues to fall Tuesday morning over the southeast half of our region as weak disturbance exits the state. As you step out the door this morning plan for slick roads and very cold conditions.
Snow totals are light for most of the area. Indy has 0.4 inches on the ground; Bloomington has 1.1 inches this morning, those totals will increase slightly.
Temps by afternoon will only make it to the mid 20s with very low wind chills. Arctic high pressure will remain in control this week bringing cold and dry conditions through Friday night. Expect below freezing and below normal temperatures for the remainder of your workweek.
The coldest air of the season will settle in Thursday morning, wind chills will drop below zero. Friday night brings our next chance for winter weather. Rain could mix with snow Friday into Saturday, before changing to all snow Saturday. This is an accumulating snow event.
