As the cooler temperatures make themselves at home it's finally starting to feel like fall in central Indiana.

But it's what comes after the fall that most people are curious about.

Forecasters at NOAA's Climate Prediction Center have issued their U.S. Winter Outlook and they say La Nina could be a big player.

Much of Indiana is expected to have 'above average' precipitation. But before you snow lovers start jumping for joy, we have to take a look at the temperatures that come along with it.

The temperature outlook calls for equal chances of above or below average readings along and south of the Ohio River.

All of this spells out what could be an active winter season for us, with precipitation type held up in the temperature details.
