FERNDALE, Wash. - A 4-year-old girl in Washington State may have a calling as a detective after she foiled an elaborate plan laid by her own babysitter.
Abby Dean said last Wednesday was the worst day of her life.
Her parents had left home for the night, and within a few hours, her 17-year-old babysitter told her that people were breaking into the house, and that Abby should go upstairs to stay safe.
The babysitter told police that one of the thieves looked like the next-door neighbor.
But Abby spoke up to police and described who she saw. The thieves turned out to be the babysitter’s boyfriend and his friend.
Eventually, the sitter confessed and now she and the two men are facing charges.
As for Abby, while she enjoyed testing out her police skills, she really wants to become a doctor when she grows up.
