PORTLAND, Ore. - A man has found comfort in the wake of his grandmother’s death, all thanks to Google Maps.
Dustin Moore’s grandmother died last year, but because of Google Maps, she is just a click away.
A street view of his grandmother’s Portland, Ore. home shows her relaxing on her front porch while reading the newspaper. The photo was taken less than a year before she died, ABC News reported.
Moore posted the remarkable picture of his Grandma Alice on Reddit. He said he believes it is one of the last pictures ever taken of his beloved grandma.
"I thought it was such an uplifting and awesome picture because it showed just how laid back and awesome she was," Moore wrote Wednesday. "Might not mean much to anyone else, I just thought I would share."
Although the picture will one day be updated, Moore told ABC News’ Portland affiliate KATU that he was just pleased to know Grandma Alice was only a click away.
"I made the joke with my brother," he said. "I was like, ‘Well, grandma’s gone, but she still somehow lives on in Google and is watching over us."
