Bloomington police release sketch, description of B-Line attack suspect

Woman, 23, attacked while rollerblading

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Bloomington police have released a sketch and description of a man who attacked a woman on Bloomington's B-Line Trail while she was rollerblading Sunday.

A 23-year-old woman told police she was skating on the trail near Adams Street when a man tackled her, hit her several times and started pulling at her clothes.

"Her concern is that it may have been an attempted sexual assault because he then began moving down towards her shorts in an attempt to remove them," said Captain Joe Qualters with Bloomington Police.

A witness with a cellphone scared off the attacker and called for help, police said.

The man is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s, about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall with a medium, slightly athletic build.

He's described as being almost bald with very short stubble on his head with dark eyebrows. He was wearing a light gray, crew neck sweatshirt and light gray sweatpants.
