PLAINFIELD, Ind. - Emergency crews had to cut a person out of a car after it crashed into a building in Plainfield Monday morning.
A car crashed through the front of a building after hitting a utility pole in the 200 block of West Main Street about 5:30 a.m., police said.
Eastbound traffic on Main Street was diverted onto Mill Street while crews worked to clean up the crash, but westbound traffic was able to get through.
Police said the driver, a 39-year-old man, was conscious at the scene. Police said he was taken to IU Methodist Hospital to be examined, but no information about the extent of his injuries was released.
