Court releases photos of 2013 David Bisard arrest

Evidence will not impact 2010 case

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - New evidence was released in David Bisard’s most recent drunk driving arrest Friday afternoon.

The photos were taken immediately after his April 2013 arrest in Lawrence. Bisard is also accused of driving drunk in Indianapolis in August 2010 and crashing his police cruiser into a group of motorcyclists, killing one and injuring two others.

The photos released by the Allen County court will have no bearing on the 2010 drunk driving case that will begin in October.

Some of the evidence included a half-empty bottle of vodka found hidden beneath the seat.

The photos showing Bisard's crashed truck after his April drunk driving arrest were used by the state to revoke his bond in his Indianapolis case.

Bisard has remained in the Marion County Jail since May 9 when the Allen County Court ruled that Bisard posed a danger to the public.

He's awaiting trial on his August 2010 arrest for driving drunk and causing death and serious bodily injury.

Hours after that crash, his blood-alcohol level tested at 0.19 percent, two and a half times the legal limit.

In separate investigations, the police and the FBI interviewed nearly 70 witnesses, all of whom told investigators that they didn't detect any alcohol or signs that Bisard was impaired.

A week from Monday, the Allen County Court will hold hearings that will determine what, if any, evidence will be excluded from Bisard's trial in October.
