#INDYTODAY | Events for Friday, April 4 in the Circle City

INDIANAPOLIS - Food trucks, farmers markets and more. Here's the scoop on some events this Friday and weekend in Indianapolis with #INDYTODAY.

Every day, we'll keep you in the loop on happenings in Indy. Today, there are a few items on the to-do list that might tickle your fancy.

Food Truck Fridays

Take a break from the office and head out to Georgia Street for the weekly tradition, which picks back up for the spring Friday! From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. head to the west block of Georgia Street to pick from more than 15 food trucks. Barbecue, pizza, cupcakes, Mexican food and more.

The food trucks are so good, Food Network show "Eat Street" visited Indianapolis to get the scoop on the amazing tastes offered.

Indy Winter Farmers Market

Hey, it may not be winter anymore, but your local farmers market still has great items for you. If you haven't visited the downtown farmers market, you really ought to. It provides a venue for farmers and producers to directly connect with consumers. You can find it from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays at the Platform in the west wing of the historic Indianapolis City Market.

Art fair and heirloom-preservation

The Eiteljorg is hosting a couple cool events this weekend. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, you can attend an art fair that features Native American instruments, carvings, baskets and art, and the event is included with museum admission. From 1 to 5 p.m., bring your beloved heirlooms and have a one-on-one with a pro on how to take good care of your family treasures!
