Students of an Indianapolis charter school that is closing amid a cheating scandal were getting help to find a new school Tuesday.
INDIANAPOLIS - The mayor's office will host two enrollment fairs for hundreds of parents who have to find a new school for their children because of an ISTEP cheating scandal.
Flanner House Elementary School, an Indianapolis charter school, will close Sept. 11, officials announced last week.
The Mayor’s Office of Education Innovation will host two enrollment fairs Tuesday and Wednesday.
Both fairs will be at the Watkins Family Center Gym on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street. The fair will run from 7 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday and 1 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Information will be available on more than 25 public, private and charter schools and parents will be able to enroll their children on the spot.
