INDIANAPOLIS - One man was killed and another injured in a shooting Saturday night. Police released their names just before 7 p.m. Sunday.
Police were called to the 2100 block of East 34th Street just before 11 p.m., where Leonard Germany, 34, (pictured) was found with gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene.
Marcus Adams, 37, was taken to IU Methodist Hospital in good condition with a gunshot wound to the shoulder, police said.
Investigators said the shooting happened near the 2700 block of Keystone Avenue and the victims drove themselves to the location where they were later found by police.
Police reports say officers were dispatched to Keystone after a call came in reporting a man that had run up to a black car in the area and shot a subject inside. When officers arrived, no one was there, but IMPD was soon dispatched to 34th Street, where they found the victims they were originally looking for.
RTV6 reporter Ebone Monet said a large crowd gathered in the area while police worked, with fighting breaking out, and IMPD officers were working to control an "emotional" crowd.
There is no word yet as to whether a suspect has been apprehended.
Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS.
