COLUMBUS, Ind. - A Columbus man was arrested Wednesday evening after police said he attacked his pregnant girlfriend and endangered their unborn child.
Shawn Seip, 40, had been fighting with his 24-year-old girlfriend, officials with the Columbus Police Department said.
He allegedly started throwing things at her and he is accused of lying on top of her, police said.
Authorities said the girlfriend called police after the attack, despite threats of more violence from Seip.
The woman did not need to go to the hospital for treatment, but Seip is still facing battery charges, police said.
