WESTFIELD, Ind. - A tanker truck overturned in a Hamilton County roundabout Tuesday morning, closing a stretch of road for hours.
The crash happened about 8 a.m. near 161st Street and U.S. 31 when the tanker truck was going too fast on the roundabout.
The tanker, which was carrying laundry detergent, tipped over and spilled detergent onto the road.
The tanker blocked traffic trying to head west on 161st Street from U.S. 31.
In addition, 161st Street west of U.S. 31 was expected to be closed until Wednesday afternoon.
Officials said the southbound ramp of U.S. 31 at 161st Street was expected to reopen Tuesday evening.
All other ramps at the 161st Street exit stayed open.
No injuries were reported.
