Teen told police he was victim of drive-by

INDIANAPOLIS - A teenager was injured in a shooting Friday evening, police said.

The 14-year-old boy told police he was a victim of a drive-by shooting in the 8300 block of East 36th Place.

Officers with the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department said the teen was shot in the leg but did not suffer life-threatening injuries.

The teen was taken to Riley Hospital for Children in good condition.

Few other details were released.
