WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - A West Lafayette man was hospitalized with "life-threatening" injuries after an early morning crash Sunday, police said.
Indiana State Police said 24-year-old Daniel Kline was traveling northbound on I-65 near the 164-mile marker when his vehicle drove off the east side of the interstate, traveling down a steep embankment and rolling at least once before coming to rest on its wheels.
Kline was transported to Indiana University Arnett Hospital with life-threatening head and internal injuries. Police said he was wearing his seatbelt, which prevented him from being ejected.
This crash is still under investigation, but evidence suggests that Kline was over the .08 legal blood alcohol concentration limit, police said.
