INDIANAPOLIS - Rain and storms returning to central and southern Indiana ahead of schedule this afternoon. The leading edge of storms could bring heavy rain and frequent lightning.
Scattered showers and storms stick around Thursday. In fact, there could be several rounds of showers and thunderstorms through the day.
Heading into Friday and the weekend we will start to crank up the heat as high temperatures will be right around 90 degrees, if not above, for the first time this year for the city of Indianapolis. Many places south of Indy should easily climb into the low 90s.s and building summer heat.
