INDIANAPOLIS - ALERT: Winter Weather Advisory from 3 a.m. until noon Tuesday. There is freezing rain potential for Tuesday morning commute.
All eyes on the thermometer! By 11 am or so, temps should be at or above freezing in Indy marking a transition from freezing rain to rain. Any freezing rain is expected to be light. However, the timing is poor as it may impact the morning commute.
The combination of snow on the ground with rain may lead to some flooding issues.
Accumulating snow chances increase from Indianapolis south on Wednesday. The best chance for several inches of snow will be closer to the Ohio River.
Highs in the teens are the story for Thursday. After a below zero start to Friday, we will turn the temperature corner and start to warm-up. Highs will warm to around 40 this weekend.
