Temps surge into 80s before cold front moves in

INDIANAPOLIS - It’s another beautiful day across the area with plenty of sunshine and above-normal temperatures. If you have evening plans you will be just fine.

The changes will start very late tomorrow as a cold front approaches from the west. Before that front arrives, we will see temperatures surge into the mid 80s with increasing clouds. While there could be an isolated shower or two tomorrow morning or afternoon, the heavier and more steady rain will arrive after midnight and very early on Friday morning.

Once the rain does start, look for it to stick around for most of Friday. Not only will be have the rain on Friday, but the wind will really start to pick up as well and that will push temperatures down during the afternoon hours. Any way you look at it, Friday will not be that pleasant of a day.

The weekend will be chilly with lots of clouds around. In fact, some areas on Saturday may not even make it out of the 40s for highs. Sunday will be slightly warmer, but will still have the chance of a few showers around. The cool temperatures will stick around into next week as well with numerous chances for showers.
