Dry, cloudy and cold conditions will continue overnight.
Temperatures will warm to the upper 30s tomorrow under mostly cloudy skies. An approaching warm front will bring warmer conditions, rain and breezy southerly winds to the forecast Monday. Rain chances will increase throughout the day on Monday. Widespread rain is likely by Monday night and continuing into Tuesday.
Expect near 50 degrees temperatures on Tuesday afternoon. Enjoy Tuesdays warm-up because big changes are on the way by Tuesday night. A cold front will move over the state Tuesday into Wednesday changing rain into snow.
A rain/snow mix looks likely for Wednesday morning before changing to all snow by Wednesday afternoon (Christmas eve). It’s a little early to talk about snowfall amounts, models suggest there’s enough moisture available to bring Indy a couple inches of snow. The rain to snow transition and the timing of that transition will make snowfall estimated tricky for Christmas eve.
Expect gusty winds Wednesday night and a few flurries on Christmas day. Temperatures will warm to the mid-30s on Christmas day.
