Relatives Can Be Invited To Participate

People love to dig up their family roots to find out which direct branch they grew from.

Who is my mother's cousin twice removed whom my dad is always referring to? Or how many grandchildren did my great-great Uncle Martin have?

Itsourtree.com lets you create your family tree as well as keep track of your relatives.

The more personal information you provide -- such as names, dates of birth and death and photos -- the more your tree will bloom. You also can invite your relatives to participate, thereby extending the reach of your tree.

Once your tree begins to sprout, you can display it from your point of view or from your relatives' point of view. Simply click on a random relative to see their perspective.

The Web site has 10 million profiles and caters to several countries, including Brazil, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, Poland and Spain.

Your tree can be printed from the site, which is free, in three different ways: You can choose to display names only, names along with photos, or print names, photos and personal dates together.

As the site says, "Together, you might find out astonishing relationships and come to know distant relatives you didn't even know about."
