Fever Edge Mercury

(Sports Network) - Tamika Catchings scored 25 points to lead the Indiana Fever past the Phoenix Mercury, 88-84, in the final game before the Olympic break for both clubs.

Tammy Sutton-Brown and Tan White each totaled 17 points for the Fever, who are 2-5 over their last seven contests. Indiana will not play again until August 28 vs. Connecticut.

Diana Taurasi poured in 25 points for the Mercury, who are 1-3 in their last four games. Phoenix will not play again until August 28 vs. San Antonio. Cappie Pondexter chipped in 21 points in defeat.
