Avon Community Schools have already closed for two weeks after a child tested positive in the district. That child attends Hickory Elementary School. On Monday, the school announced that a second child had begun showing symptoms, but so far no additional positive tests have come back. Students and staff will return to the district after spring break on April 6.

In Noble County, a patient is being isolated at a local hospital in Kendallville after testing positive. Patients in Hendricks and Marion counties are self-isolating. It is unclear the condition or isolation of the patients in Boone or Adams counties at this time.

Craig Moorman, the Johnson County Health Officer, said in a statement late Wednesday that the three cases in that county are three adults who have been linked to a positive case in Hendricks County. All three individuals are self-isolating and are not out in the community. At this time, there is not believed to be widespread risk to the community.
