SHELBY COUNTY — A dog found severely burned and likely tortured last year is now healed enough to start looking for his forever home.
The Shelby County Animal Shelter is now accepting adoption applications for Justice, the dog found severely burned last year.

"Our goal at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter is to place Justice into a home that best suits his individual needs," the shelter wrote on Facebook. "We owe it to him."
A good Samaritan Justice wandering down the road on November 2, 2018. He had severe chemical burns on his face and along his back, as well as cuts on his tongue - and all of his injuries were severely infected.
It took weeks of treatment before Justice's rescuers even knew if he would survive.
"Continue praying for Justice, his caretakers and our shelter as we look for his perfect home," the shelter said. "We will not stop unitl there is an arrest and conviction to the evildoer monster that abused, tortured and dumped this incredible dog."

A $10,000 reward is still being offered for information leading to an arrest and a conviction for the person or persons responsible for Justice's injuries.
Police say Justice was wearing a pink one and a half inch collar with no tags and had no micro chip when he was found.
