    Headless Horseman at Conner Prairie, 6 to 9 p.m.

    Since 1984, we've entertained more than 426,000 people, both young and old! Huddle close on a haunted hayride keeping your eyes open for skeletons and ghosts trying to warn you about the infamous Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow.     Tomb of Doom: 46th Annual Children's Museum Guild's Haunted House

    Halloween ZooBoo presented by The Sallie Mae Fund

    Join us for candy, fun and fancy costumes! Dress up the kids in their most ghoulish outfits and visit the animals at the Indianapolis Zoo for the annual Halloween ZooBoo. Activities include safe trick-or-treating among the animals, pumpkin bowling, a haunted train ride, animal chats, Not-So-Scary animal shows and much more!

    Moonlight Madness Halloween Hunt

    T.C. Steele State Historic Site Spooky Tours 7 to 9 p.m.

    There will be ghost tours of the House of the Singing Winds and the grounds, which will include the cemetery and the Dewar Log Cabin. Storytellers from the Brown County Library will present a spooky readers theater in our eerie Guest Cottage. Laura Hohman with the Center for North American Bat Research and Conservation will be going batty in our large studio. See some live bats up close!     Oct. 28

    IUPUI Safe Trick-Or-Treat 6 to 9 p.m.

    IUPUI invites families to bring their kids to trick-or-treat at IUPUI as the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE), Ball Hall Council and the Apartments on Riverwalk Council host Safe Trick-or-Treat at IUPUI’s Ball Hall and the campus apartments located at 1226 W. Michigan St. in Indianapolis.

    Oct. 30

    Noblesville Family Halloween Party 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

    The party, at the Forest Park Inn, is co-sponsored by the Hamilton County Council of Alcohol and Other Drugs, and families are invited to attend in costume. The event is free of charge and will include fun, food, magic, Halloween games, an outdoor bonfire, an old time scary movie and hayrides.     Safe Night Halloween party, 5 to 7 p.m.

    Come celebrate Halloween at Indiana State Fairgrounds’ South Pavilion. Groups like the Marion County Public Library, Indianapolis Indians and New Beginnings Ministries will be on hand to help children enjoy the dozens of treat stations set up all around the pavilion. Kids can also have fun and win prizes at a variety of games like mummy bowling, pumpkin ring toss, Halloween Twister and more. There will also be inflatable bounce stations, face painting, arts and crafts and other fun activities. For more information call 317-927-7524.

    Halloween Bash at Fort Harrison State Park, Noon to 8 p.m.

    Featured events include a scavenger hunt, pumpkin painting, hayrides, a costume contest for kids and dogs and a bonfire/weenie roast. All participants are encouraged to dress up! A haunted hayride, the Soldier’s Haunt, will conclude the evening. Attendees should bring blankets and chairs for bonfire seating--provided seating may be limited.     'Rocky Horror' Halloween, 8 p.m. and Midnight

    Celebrate Halloween 'Rocky Horror' style in Fountain Square! The Fountain Square Merchants Association presents Rocky Horror Halloween at the Fountain Square Theatre. There will be two screenings of the Rocky Horror Picture Show (8 p.m. all ages welcome, midnight 21 and up), music from DJ Brian Jones, and a cash bar. Wear a costume and show them how to do 'Rocky Horror' right!
