Halle Berry, Felicity Huffman and Jessica Biel honored for charitable work

HALLE BERRY, FELICITY HUFFMAN and JESSICA BIEL were celebrated for their charity work at a special event in Hollywood on Friday (05Oct12).
Katherine Heigl and Queen Latifah were also feted at Variety magazine's annual Power of Women ceremony, which recognizes celebrities who have dedicated their time to philanthropic efforts.
Jennifer Garner was full of praise for her friend Biel as she presented her with her prize in honor of the work she does for clean water project Charity: Water, declaring, "Anyone else who has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for their organization, please raise your hand."
Biel's fiance Justin Timberlake beamed with pride as his partner accepted the honor, and the actress later declared on her Twitter.com page, "Was thrilled to be with these kick-a** women at variety powerofwomen event. So lovely, so unstoppable."
Heigl and Huffman were recognized for their devotion to cancer charities, and the former Desperate Housewives star, whose sister has faced breast cancer, told the audience at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel, "Allowing me to be part of a solution gives me hope."
Latifah was chosen as an honoree for serving as the founder of the Lancelot H. Owens Scholarship Foundation, which provides financial support to struggling students, and Berry was picked for her commitment to the anti-domestic violence organization Jenesse Center.
Accepting her accolade, the Monster's Ball star pledged her devotion to the cause, telling the organization's executive director, "I will never leave this place."
