ANDERSON, Ind. – Known for their old-fashioned candies and hand-dipped ice cream, Good’s Candy Shop is a place you have to visit during your time in Anderson.

Along West 53rd Street, you’ll find the family-owned business and meet the owner - Randy Good – who still believes in good-quality hand-dipped chocolates.

“We have the largest ice cream candy shop in all of central Indiana,” said Good. “Not to mention the product is off the chain, crazy good.”

Good purchased the store from his parents in 1992.

“It goes back to about 1940. It was my great aunt in Muncie, Indiana who had a little candy shop in a basement,” said Good.

The shop sells traditional family recipes, but Good said he constantly develops new creations.

“One day I woke up and said, ‘you know what I need to do? I need to start making my own root beer.”

Randy’s Root Beer is made in house and pairs with any of the shops’ homemade ice cream flavors.
