Once spring break rolls around, for students and teachers alike it’s high time to count the days, hours and minutes until summer arrives. This year, Norwegian Cruise Line is making the return of summer all the sweeter, for teachers at least.

The company is showing its appreciation for teachers by gifting cruises to a lucky few they deem truly inspirational. That’s right, a free cruise for deserving, hardworking educators.

Giving Joy
To celebrate the debut of the Norwegian Joy ship in North America, the cruise line wants to reward teachers who are “inspiring joy in the classroom.” From now through April 12, anyone in the U.S. or Canada can nominate their favorite teachers so they’ll have a chance to win a free trip on the Norwegian Joy.

Click here and share how your candidate is bringing joy to the classroom in 500 characters or less. You don’t have to rely on others to enter. In fact, teachers can nominate themselves, too.

After nominations are in, voting on social media and nclgivingjoy.com will ultimately narrow down the winners. To vote, you can search for your teacher’s name among the entries or find them by scrolling through the photos.

Prize Package
The 15 teachers with the most votes will win a seven-day cruise for two. The whole prize package includes airfare, accommodations and an exclusive invitation to attend an award ceremony on May 3 in Seattle. There they have the chance to win the grand prize of $15,000 for their school.

“Through our Norwegian Cruise Line Giving Joy campaign, we celebrate the power of education and travel, and reward teachers who have taken responsibility for our future, our children, and who lean into that responsibility with all they’ve got,” said Andy Stuart, president and chief executive officer of Norwegian Cruise Line in a statement .

Nominations are open now, so nominate your favorite teacher before April 12 — and cast your vote here.
