Macadamia nuts sold at Kroger under recall notice

Nuts sold in Indiana Kroger stores are under a recall notice for possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. 

The affected products are the 12-ounce packages of Simple Truth Dry Roasted Macadamia Nut with a UPC of 11110-02478. They have a sell by date of May 2, 2018. 

Listeria monocytogenes can cause possibly fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people. 

The nuts were sold in southeast Indiana, Ohio, northern Kentucky, Kansas, Nebraska and Missouri.

Anybody who bought the nuts should return them to a store for a full refund or replacement. For more information, call Kroger at 1-800-KROGERS, 

No illnesses have been reported.
