Several people will likely face federal charges after a citywide crackdown Friday morning aimed at making Indianapolis' streets safer. It was a coordinated sweep aimed at getting drugs and guns off the streets.
The FBI, Indiana State Police and IMPD SWAT teams are raiding locations around Indianapolis, Call 6 Investigates has learned. Several people are in custody.
INDIANAPOLIS -- The FBI, Indiana State Police and IMPD SWAT teams raided multiple locations around Indianapolis Friday morning.
The coordinated sweep targeted guns, gangs and drug activity in the city.
One of the locations was in the Island Club Apartments off Dandy Trail on the city's west side.
It is unclear what was recovered or if anyone was arrested during the raid but pictures taken at the scene show the back door of the home kicked in and the front window broken out.
