INDIANAPOLIS -- More questions are being raised about the man at the center of an Al Jazeera special report that linked Peyton Manning to human growth hormone.

Charlie Sly told Al Jazeera that he worked at the Guyer Institute in Indianapolis when Manning was getting treatment there and that boxes of HGH were shipped to Manning's wife.

The Guyer Institute told Call 6 Investigates that Sly was an unpaid intern for 3 months in 2013 and that internship occurred at a time when Manning wasn't being treated in the office.

Al Jazeera released a phone call between their reporter and the Guyer Institute appearing to contradict that statement made by Dr. Dale Guyer.

However, a document obtained by Call 6 Investigates shows that Sly originally requested an internship in 2011. The internship was approved but didn't start until nearly a year-and-a-half later.

Sly also told Al Jazeera that he is currently a pharmacist in Austin, Texas. Call 6 Investigator Paris Lewbel uncovered that Sly was never licensed to be a pharmacist in the state of Texas.

The Texas Pharmacy Board tells Call 6, "Mr. Sly has not completed the application process and is not registered as an intern in Texas."

Sly has since recanted his story and told Al Jazeera that statements attributed to him "are absolutely false and incorrect."

Attempts to reach Sly at his last registered address in Brownsburg were unsuccessful. Calls to two numbers associated with Sly went to voicemail and were not returned.
