CAMBY, Ind. --  The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of propane tanks at a Camby business.

Thieves stole at least seven propane tanks from Daniels Market, a small grocery store on East Hadley Road, on October 28 at 11:50 pm.

Owner Betty Daniels said the market is now out $280 for the cost of the propane, plus they have to purchase new locks and keys for their cage.

The vehicle involved in the theft is believed to be a white Monte Carlo.

You can call 765-342-5544 with information about the propane theft.

Daniels believes the thieves may be using the propane to make methamphetamine.

Daniels told Call 6 Investigates the theft happened within 30 minutes of workers locking up for the night.
