VERMILLION COUNTY— Prosecutors in Vermillion County have charged a Zionsville man with 14 counts of theft and home improvement fraud.

Randall Blake Copeland, 32, of Damage Solutions LLC, is accused of taking money from customers in Clinton and not doing the work promised.

Prosecutors said Copeland took more than $120,573.16 in insurance money for contractual services to repair things like roofs, gutters, windows, and storm damage to homes.

One couple contacted the Vermillion County Sheriff’s Office in November saying they hired Damage Solutions in May 2019 to complete work on their son’s house that sustained damage.

The couple paid Copeland $19,446 in insurance money to do work at a home on Towne Street in Clinton.

However, the couple was unable to reach Copeland once he received the money and he didn’t finish the job.

The Vermillion County Sheriff was familiar with Copeland, who was incarcerated in the Boone County jail on home improvement fraud charges.

As RTV6 reported in September, Copeland also has pending criminal charges in Hendricks County as well.

Copeland’s business was located at 1652 E. Northfield Dr. Suite 1300 in Brownsburg.

RTV6 spoke with Copeland’s attorney Brad Banks, who said he was not yet representing him in the Vermillion County case.

Banks said he had just learned about the additional charges and declined to comment.

Vermillion County has issued a warrant for Copeland’s arrest.

RTV6 was unable to reach Copeland for comment via email or through his company’s website.
