INDIANAPOLIS — Fourteen Hoosiers have died and 370 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in what is the biggest number jump in Indiana since the pandemic began.

The jump in cases can likely be attributed to the jump in the number of tests performed by ISDH. The health department has performed roughly 3,543 additional tests in the past 24 hours. The positive results are a combination of tests performed by ISDH and from outside labs.

Marion County still holds the majority of positive cases in the state with 964 recorded as of Tuesday at 10 a.m., 17 of the deaths from COVID-19 were also reported in Marion County.

Looking at the demographics, nearly 50% of all positive cases in the state are adults under the age of 60, but roughly 87% of all deaths are over the age of 60.
