At least 18 people at Franklin senior living facility test positive for COVID-19

FRANKLIN — At least 18 people have tested positive for COVID-19 at a senior living facility in Franklin, according to county health officials.

Two of the people who have tested positive for the virus are employees at the facility, according to the Johnson County Health Department. One of the people who tested positive is from Marion County.

On Wednesday, seven people at the Otterbein Senior Life Campus who tested positive for COVID-19 were transported to hospitals.

The situation at Otterbein's facility was one first repsonders were preparing for, Mike Pruitt, public information officer for the Johnson County Joint Incident Management Team said.
