CARMEL -- The City of Carmel is going all out to get people to wear facing coverings when they are out in public.

The Centers for Disease Control and the City of Carmel recommend wearing cloth face coverings in public places were it is difficult to maintain social distancing, such as supermarkets. Problem is, many people aren't.

So, Carmel has come up with a new campaign. Local businesses are encouraged to post signs that say "Wearing in Caring," as a way to urge people to put on a mask before entering.

Many people who are carriers of the virus will not necessarily show symptoms. It is therefore in the interest of those around you cover your face in public.

Carmel residents are also invited to share the sentiment on social media. Council members, working with Raygun Workshop, designed several Facebook frames apply to your Facebook profile image.

On your Facebook profile click “Edit Photo” then select “Add a Frame”. In the search bar type “Wearing is Caring” and several options will appear from which you can choose. You may adjust your image to properly fit the frame. Go to Carmel Cares on Facebook for additional information. https://www.facebook.com/CarmelCaresIN/
